Project Overview

Biptap, formerly known as Xswipe, is a fintech company that has boldly redefined privacy-centric banking through decentralized finance (DeFi). As the Creative Lead since 2021, I’ve been pivotal in steering the brand’s evolution across various phases of the cryptocurrency landscape, including the bearish seasons which often challenge the stability of blockchain-dependent businesses.

Problem:

As Biptap emerged in the fintech arena, initially known as Xswipe, it faced skepticism common to new blockchain technologies. Many viewed the company as part of a transient cryptocurrency “bubble” that could burst at any moment. This perception was a significant hurdle, as it undermined potential user trust and adoption. Furthermore, the challenge was compounded by the physical and psychological barriers in traditional banking systems, where customers were accustomed to conventional banking privacy and security but skeptical of the transparency and security of decentralized solutions.



Solution:

To overcome skepticism around its blockchain technology, Biptap, originally known as Xswipe, underwent a strategic rebranding. This rebranding not only updated its visual identity from a purplish-blue gradient to a more mature, flat lime green but also reinforced its commitment to blending the reliability of traditional finance with the innovation of Web3 technologies. By enhancing privacy-centric offshore banking solutions accessible to everyone, Biptap gained trust and broadened its appeal. Following the rebrand in 2024, the company secured $2 million in seed funding, affirming its new direction and solidifying its position in the fintech market.

As the Creative Lead for Biptap, I spearheaded the rebranding initiative and directed the integration of Web3 technologies into the company’s offerings. My responsibilities involved guiding the strategic vision for branding and marketing, ensuring that every element aligned with our objectives to enhance trust and modernize the public image of decentralized finance.
